June Numbers

I was just so busy returning home and unpacking and catching up on work, I forgot to post our June numbers.

We are

for a girl and

for a boy.

  1. Hi Teresa! Thanks for commenting on my blog. You and I need to talk more! We seem to see eye to eye on many things in this process! I guess you figured out what I was talking about in that post without me having to come right out and say it. I feel the same way...seeing people who already have several children, whether they be biological or children who were adopted...and I just want ONE. What agency are you working with? We did have a conference call yesterday that finally gave me some encouragement. FINALLY! I can fill you in if you want to email me...shanalamo@hotmail.com.

  3. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I see we have some things in common, like a love for furbabies. We lost our first baby (Rocky) a few months ago and we are now thinking about adding another to the mix before we get our referral, so we have time to get him or her acclimated. We'll see. I am also an attorney, and by the way, we hope to move to Denver some day relatively soon. Lots of family there! Good luck with your wait. I waffle between being glad our agency doesn't give our numbers (because I'm afraid I'd be obsessive) and also wanting to have some clue as to where we are. We are supposedly getting close, but does that mean there's one family ahead of us or 10?!

  4. I read your post about Rocky. It made my eyes tear up. Two of my babes are older and I treasure every day I have with them. All 3 of them are so completely precious to me.
That is what I tell my husband! If we adopt a puppy now I will have time to train him or her before the baby arrives. His reply is eventually....I think he is afraid he will slide further down the pack hierarchy.
Yes having a list can make you obsessive. I experienced this. Our agency also has a yahoo group. My only salvation is my employer blocks all social media on our computers so I cannot follow it at work and I have made a conscious effort to step back and not let numbers dictate my mood. But it is hard. I've accepted that we won't receive a referral this year and mid 2012 is our time.
Good luck. Hopefully a referral will come soon for your family. Are you open to either gender?
